Recommended ratio - 100g / 3.5oz per 1 Litre / Quart Gallon of Polyurethane or Epoxy Resin.
First of all, pour the glitter into the resin product and mix thoroughly for 1 minute. Once you are happy with the glitter to resin mixed ratio, you can then apply the hardener and mix for a further minute.
Glitter Responsibly
We all love a little bit of glitter to make our crafts, occasions and even our baths sparkle, however, we all know glitter has a tendency to get into places where it isn’t wanted. One of the places we want to avoid is our water courses. Once these microplastics are flushed through our water systems this will eventually make its way to the ocean adding more plastic pollution to the problem.
Create an area to catch left over glitter: before applying the glitter or even opening a packet, create a space where you can catch the glitter. This can be as simple as a piece of paper which the left-over glitter can fall onto and this way you can also reuse the fallen glitter. The more glitter that is used, the less chance of this ending up being washed away!
Avoid using water to clean up: a sweeping brush and vacuum cleaner will remove most of the glitter. For those last few bits of sparkle, you can use a lint roller.
Hair glitter: Make sure to brush through your hair first. This will remove the larger pieces of glitter before you tackle the smaller pieces. For any smaller pieces, you can spray hair spray onto tissue and once this has become tacky, pat this on the glittered area and this will remove the smaller pieces of glitter.
Make-up glitter: The best way to remove the sparkle from your face is by adding any type of face oils to a cotton pad and wiping away the glitter. The glitter will stick to the oil and become easy to remove.
